So sick of the constant wrong matching! How can I fix this?

I've posted on this before and have done EVERYTHING suggested. Windows 11, Quicken Premier. Version R59.6, Build 27.1.59.6

Things I've already done: Validate & Repair, Super Validate & Repair, Deactivated all of my credit card online accounts. Reactivated all of my credit card online accounts. Restarted Quicken. Restarted Computer.

This happens this morning. No Downloaded IDs are coming over. It matches just based on the amount, from two weeks ago. 🤦 Quicken is getting less and less reliable and more and more frustrating with every update.

Have you ever matched a downloaded transaction to the 9/15 transaction?

Have you tried to "Manually match" (right-click) the downloaded 9/27 transaction and point it to an existing 9/27 transaction?
Or should this 9/27 transaction be changed to "Make New" so that Quicken can create a new register transaction?

The same amount (and possibly the same payee) within a couple of weeks is going to lead the matching program down the garden path …

Is this just coincidence that you purchased something for the exact same amount within 2 weeks?
Or is this a regular occurrence, like a payment that recurs every two weeks, and might benefit from the use of a Scheduled Reminder?

Also, you might try using a Renaming Rule so that the payee for those $12.29 txn (and others, as appropriate) are changed to just "Amazon.com". That'll help the matching also.

The 9/15 transaction was not matched to anything as it was a new transaction that was downloaded and I accepted.

I didn't match the 9/27 to anything because I only download transactions into my credit card accounts. I just "unmatched" it then accepted it as a new transaction.

I NEVER had this problem until a few months ago, and I've been using Quicken since the '90s.

Not a coincidence. It's a subscription order from Amazon, that happens every couple of weeks. Still, if the program sees different "Download IDs" (I assume they are there, they just won't show for me), why would it match to a two week old similar transaction with a different ID?

This doesn't only happen to same payee transactions. It seems my Quicken ONLY looks at the amount, as it also will match to transactions that are different Payee, Date, ID BUT the same amount.
