The R59.10 Update to Quicken Causing Account Update Issues [Edited]
[Removed - Sarcasm]
Once again an update has led to additional frustration and hours of work on customers as we now have a CC-800 error on American Express, Barclays Bank Delaware, Capital One, Charles Schwab, Chase Bank, Citibank, Fort Worth Federal Credit Union, Nordstrom, Truist, Synchrony Bank and I'm sure many others.
The CC-800 error states, "It appears one or more account(s) at (fill in the blank for your institution) have been deleted".
Of course no accounts were deleted, although the first two times one step update was run, the program locked up and had to be terminated via the task manager > end process as Quicken was unresponsive.

I'm right there with you, been using Quicken since 1985 when it was owned by Intuit. I must have missed the Aquiline Capital Partners buy-out as well as the H.I.G Capital buyout from Intuit, but with that said, one-step update is still not working after the de-activate / re-activate account routine for each account…, and the lack of quality control with the roll outs lately seems to be pointing to a larger problem based upon the number of serious failures after each software update.

@mefriedman678 you might want to contact tech support and see if they can get ya going. I learned long ago not to install new updates immediately to avoid buggy update issues. After it seems that the update is OK, by not seeing much grumbling here, I install it. Cuts down drastically on me having to deal with issues that may occur with newly released updates.

Maybe I shouldn't say anything, in case Murphy listens …
Having installed R 59.10 yesterday, I started Quicken this morning and ran OSU … successfully.Because you had to kill Quicken with the Task Manager (or maybe had a prior crash) I recommend you do the following actions:
- Even if you are on the latest software level already, download and install the latest Manual Patch file from to ensure your Quicken software is up to date and correctly installed.
- Reboot Windows.
- Start Quicken. Do not run One Step Update.
- Run BOTH Validate and Supervalidate to attempt to repair your Quicken data file.
- If nothing helps, try to restore your Quicken data file from an Automatic or Manual backup taken just prior to the problems first occurring.
Validate and Supervalidate instructions
First save a backup file prior to performing these steps
Validate:
• Click File
• Select Validate and Repair File...
• Select Validate File
• If the data file contains investment accounts also select "Rebuild investing lots".
• If you suspect that a damaged Quotes Price History causes your problems, also select "Correct investing price history" functions "Delete" or "Repair and Rebuild".
• Click OK
• Review the Data Log. Anything interesting in there, worthwhile posting here?
• Close Quicken, leave it closed for about 30 secs
• Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.Super Validate:
• Click File
• Press and hold both CTRL and Shift keys while you click Validate and Repair File...
• Select Supervalidate File
• Click OK
• Review the Data Log. Anything interesting in there, worthwhile posting here?
• Close Quicken, leave it closed for about 30 secs
• Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.0
