Can't find matching transactions
Download from NFCU and the entry from the bank states Paid Check 6499 with posting date of 10/1/24. I actually have the check in the register with the date I wrote the check 9/27/24. The amount even matches. It can't find a match so I try to do it manually and the transaction doesn't appear in the match window. It has entries from 4/5/24 to 10/10/24. What gives?
Had to update - AGAIN!! when opening the quicken app on my computer. Seems it always has an update and I understand security, but doing this often may be a source of trouble. And messing with Quicken data is NOT a good idea.

What's the status of the actual check 6499 transaction (the one you have manually recorded when you wrote the check)? Was it mis-matched somehow, based on another downloaded transaction with the same amount?
Do you automatically accept downloaded transactions or do you manually review each downloaded transaction and make changes as needed prior to accepting downloads?

No I entered it manually then downloaded the transactions where I manually approve each one. What I do notice is that the red pencil in the left column is missing from this entry, but there isn't a c in the clear column. Normally checks are easy to match with check number, amount and date. The date the bank has is only 4 days after the date I actually wrote the check. The only common denominator I see is the red pencil is missing. If no other answer, I'll delete this one transaction, re-enter and then see if it matches.
BTW, I open Q 1-2 times per week and it has to update again today. Seems it is updated at least 1 per week!
