Why can't I get my citicard to reauthorize?

When I try, it will connect to citi's web site, where I DO sign in. However, it never connects to the Citi reauthorization form….it shows me a blank screen, then…it times out. What the heck is going on?

There is something that is blocking your logging into the website and completing the reauthorization.

I frequently used to have the same problem with some (not all) of the financial institutions that I tried to reauthorize accounts for. About 4 months ago I found a solution that has worked very well for me ever since. You might want to try it.

    1. Disable all browser add-ons/extensions. Most of mine are security and privacy apps (pop-up blockers, adware blockers, cookies blockers, suspicious website blockers, etc.)
    2. If your browser privacy settings are set to "strict", change them to "standard" or "recommended".
    3. Make sure your browser cookies setting allows cookies from the financial institution.
    4. Turn off pop-up blockers in your browser settings and anti-malware software or add the financial institution to the Exceptions list. I decided to add the financial institution to the Exceptions list so I still get pop-up blocking with other websites.

I had made #2, #3 and #4 standard settings for me. (It also helped resolve issues I would sometimes have with other websites.)

When the reauthorization is completed, I will enable my browser add-ons/extensions, again.

Since taking these steps, I have not encountered issues reauthorizing accounts, including my Citi cards accounts.

BTW, after Quicken announced that the Citi EWC+ connection and download issues of late-Sep and early-Oct were resolved I still encountered that same white screen issue you describe. Then I realized I'd forgotten to disable my browser add-ons/extensions. Once I completed that step the reauthorization process completed flawlessly.

Edge is my default browser and it would not connect with Citi resulting in a blank screen. I made Firefox my default browser and this worked. After a successful connection, you can change the default browser back to your preference.

My default is Google/Chrome. I don't usually have any problems…but I guess I can try Firefox for this purpose. Thanks.

Regarding my post above: My default browser usually is Firefox but I use the same browser settings and extensions/add-ons with Chrome and Edge, too. I was encountering the same issues reauthorizing in all 3 browsers. The things mentioned above I did with all 3 browsers and now I have no issues reauthorizing with any of them.
