How to handle SCHD split

Hello,

As many of you are probably aware, on 10/10 SCHD did a 3 for 1 split and I have a confusing transaction to accept from eTrade. I use Classic Deluxe. I have the StkSplit transaction showing up for 10/11 and it shows the right share balance as a result of it (in the Share Bal column). But then on 10/15 I get this other transaction that's a "Removed" with a memo that says "Transfer OUT" and to accept it my only options are: Remove the shares, Transfer the shares, Enter a reverse stock split, and Enter a short sale. But it's none of those options. In fact, in the description it says the number of shares it removed is actually the number it added (the share balance on 10/11 minus this balance equals the amount of shares I had before the split).

How do I handle this? I'm inclined to delete this "Removed" transaction but I don't know if that feels right. If I tell it to remove, then I feel like it will return my share balance back to the pre-split balance and that's not right, either.

Deleting the offered transaction would feel right to me, based on what you’ve described. I don’t know why it is being downloaded to you.

If you later find a valid reason for the entry, you’ll always be able to create a manual entry consistent with that reason.

    Same question from me. Thanks.

I "voided" the three transactions (SCHO, SCHZ, and SCHB) and the number of shares returned to the correct post-split number of shares. Thank you q_lurker.😁
