Pull-down layout menu does not display options

I recently revised an estimate layout form to hide the dollar amount of individual line items so the only thing the client saw was the estimate total at the bottom. As a construction contractor I am tired of customers picking apart an estimate as if each line is negotiable when it's not! I did all the work to create this new form by going to BUSINESS>INVOICE AND ESTIMATES>DESIGN INVOICE FORMS.
My problem is that when I choose BUSINESS>INVOICES AND ESTIMATES>CREATE ESTIMATE, the new form is not in the LAYOUT pull-down menu. All it says is <CUSTOMIZE>. Where did form go that I created? I created my new form by copying my original estimate template and modifying it.

It's there when I return to the DESIGN LAYOUT menu. Where'd it go?

In the Forms Designer, did you start working with Estimate Default?
I just did, then selected Layout / Copy and let the Forms Designer create a new Estimate Layout named Estimate1.
Made a quick change and saved the change.
When selecting the New Estimate dialog, I clicked on the Layout field to open the pulldown list and Estimate1 was selectable.

Did you create a new Invoice form by mistake?

One thing I noticed, though … In my version (R 59.18) you cannot delete the Amount column from either your Invoice or your Estimate form. It's not selectable to be removed in the Designer.

How much detail do you provide in your Estimates? Is it really necessary to do so or can / should you provide less detail?
