Once again OSU hangs

OSU has been running for more than an hour with no response. I am going to let it run for another hour to see what happens. I don't have much hope. I have complained about this in the past, with no resolution. It usually runs for less than 10 minutes. I have had to end process in task manager before and that of course sometimes leads to file corruption. I really wish there was a way to "CANCEL" OSU when it never ends.

So I waited 2 hours before killing in task manager. After validate, no errors… The only accounts that updated were my 2 direct connect accounts. Trying OSU again. This time it ran for 2 minutes and updated all accounts. Not the best way to have to respond to errors in my humble opinion.

Interesting. When I ran OSU this morning, it reported it was unable to update one of my USAA accounts. Said maybe the account was closed or nickname changed (CC-506 error). I ran OSU again and got the same result. It wasn't closed or changed. When I reset it, after authenticating, it showed me the 2 accounts and had "linked" one correctly, but only listed "do not add to Quicken" for the other. No drop down list was available for that account. I clicked OK anyway, it completed and closed. I reran OSU and it successfully completed with all accounts updated.

It sounds like both of you ran into financial institution server access difficulties seeing as the problem(s) cleared up with time. When I have difficulty with OSU connections, I usually just wait a day or so before troubleshooting anything as issues usually clear up. From professional experience, I know that servers crash and simply need to be rebooted sometimes to restore service.

I'm not sure what the issue was, HOWEVER the resolution should NOT be to KILL the task in task manager. Quicken should allow OSU to be terminated when difficulties arise…
