Income/Billing reminder set up as "only once" shows twice/double in budget window

Why is it when I add a new bill or income reminder for a single payment (occurrence set up as 'only once' for a particular date), I see two reminders in the budget window for the category and the budget line item is doubled. I know there are workarounds like setting reminders for monthly with a single occurrence but this is not good practice; especially for a tool like quicken that is designed as a budget and tracking tool. Setting something up as a single occurrence should just work properly

This has been an issue for several releases. Currently still an issue with v R59.18 Build 27.1.59.18

    That bug has been reported a couple of times before, but very infrequently. It does not appear that anybody from Quicken has responded to earlier Community discussions on this issue.

    If you haven't done so already, I'd say it's time to call Quicken Support on the phone during posted hours of operation and report this as a bug, referring to the URL of this discussion and requesting escalation to higher support levels. Let them do a screen share session with you to review the situation on your computer, to determine the nature of the problem and to figure out how to fix it.

    Reporting bugs in the Community unfortunately does not send a message to the programmers.
