Transactions Cleared after Reconcile Date
I had an issue reconciling so I went back to last year to where the Quicken ending balance matched my statement ending balance.
Great! Re-Reconciled the last "good" month and all is okay. When I try to get to the next month, it results in the attached message.
I searched through the register and even went out to 2025 and nothing past 03/31/2023 is cleared. I took the main screen and sorted by cleared and there is nothing past 03/31/2023 that is cleared.
When I re-reconcile the march statement, the ending balance matches my bank. As soon as I try to reconcile the April statement, the beginning balance is not the same as March's ending balance even though when reconciling March, the balance matches the statement.
There's clearly a DB error somewhere but I can't find out how to fix it. What I then did was trace the transfer/linked transactions between my accounts and there were transactions in one account from say July that were linked to transactions in the other account for September. I think the error stems from the auto-linking transactions during automatic update.
Anyway, the only thing I could do was delete the transactions as simply changing the dates didn't help. Once both were deleted, I created one of the transactions and it created the linked one. And all seems to be back to normal. For now.
