What is the best way to record this merger?

Merger.pdf

Two securities were merged into a single NEW security. Online transaction shows only dollars out and in. Statement transaction shows only number of shares out and in. What is the best way to record in Quicken in order to save data such as cost/return, etc and data for tax reporting (CGL, CGS).
