New Quicken Online Backup Question

I noticed when I restored from a backup in Quicken that any online bill pay activity had to be reauthorized with mini deposits and verification.

Is this the case with the online backup version? Note that if you just save a copy every other day of the .QDF file and load it (versus performing a restore) this does not happen.

Let me know. I like the convenience of an online backup with some version history but not if the restore process requires a reset of online bill pay accounts.

Thanks

MM

    Hi MM,

I have restored from backups and it has caused me many problems with check numbers and the checks that are in process are not cancellable; they become zombie like transactions.

I just spoke to Quicken support and they informed me that if I am using Quicken Check pay to contact them and they can walk me through some special process to maintain the links, without having numerous problems, before I restore from backup.

I have had checks get incorrect numbers after doing this which is very annoying.

    Good day,

    Lou

Thanks. Yes I use check pay so be good to know those steps. Appreciate the update!!

Still no word on whether you can just rename the restore file to a QDF and then load it like a regular QDF file. I've seen posts saying that works
