Why does it take One-Step-Update over 5 minutes to complete?

When I initiate OSU one account quickly shows complete, but 6 others show waiting of over 5 minutes. The whirly arrow at top left moves sporadically.

Has this behavior changed recently or has it been like this for a while?

Accounts that use Direct Connect typically complete quickly as it's a "direct connection" from you to the FI. The one that completes quickly is most likely using Direct Connect.

The others are likely using Express Web Connect+ which connects through Intuit's servers so they take a bit longer. Also check to see if you are downloading Quotes and online bills.

You can verify the connection type by viewing your account list and looking in the Transaction Download column.

This condition has been like this for a long time. You are correct, the fast update is 'direct connect', and the others are "Express Web Connect +". I do have one that is Express Web Connect without the plus sign. Yes, I have been downloading quote which I just turned off. I am also downloading online bills. Any suggestions on how to speed up the update?

PS: Sync with the cloud was also "on", which I just turned off.

I'll sync on exiting Quicken. Which raises another question. In the past when I would sync on exit, the sync screen would show until done and Q closed. Now, I have 'sync on close' checked, but when I exit no sync screen show, it just closes.
