Quicken Classic for windows closes inappropriately
Recently, Quicken closes inappropriately occasionally. I open a Quicken file, perform one step update and I go perform other computer activities. A short time later (<3min) I go to return to Quicken and it has closed without updating. When I open Quicken a second time it updates without closing.
Is this a known happenstance?

By any chance are you also downloading (in addition to the OSU) via Web Connect, where you initiate the download directly at the website?
See EDIT, Preferences, Web Connect, "Keep Quicken open after Web Connect completes".
Q user since February, 1990. DOS Version 4
Now running Quicken Windows Subscription, Business & Personal

I do not initiate downloads from vendor websites. I only use one step update in Quicken
I have the option to keep Quicken open after webconnect checked
The inappropriate closure while downloading happened again this am.

Have you tried Validating your Q data file? Data corruption could be another cause of your issue.
Because, other than the Web Connect download (if the option isn't set), I'm not aware of other reports of Q closing after download and it's not supposed to do so.

I have validated more than once.

Have you tried contacting Q Support via the link at the top of this page? And NOTE, they're closed tomorrow, Christmas Day.

I have not tried contacting Q support. Where is the link? Is it "support" to right of Quicken on this page? I'm glad to contact them. Since this closure does not happen every time it will be hard to replicate. Also, I have more than one Quicken file. The inappropriate closure happens when I update the first one of the day, regardless of which one I choose. It does not happen when I update the others after the first one when it inappropriately closes.
To the other responder > I will try that to see what happens
Thanks to all.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays
