Sam's Club Card at Synchrony cannot be set up for download CC-503

I've noticed this issue has come up before, but I haven't seen any useful solutions offered. I've had my Sam's Club card for 6 years and have tried several times to set it up to download transactions into Quicken, like all my other credit card accounts. The setup always fails. I've given up trying to use this feature and for some time had been downloading transactions by clicking a link in the Sam's Club Card web site which would download a transaction file that I could use to insert into Quicken. Now the link in the web site seems to have been removed, so I'm having to enter Sam's Club Card transactions manually. Today I thought I'd give setup another try, but I'm still getting the same error.

Some notes:

  1. On the Quicken Activate One Step Update box, the Synchrony link is given as: www.synchronybank.com. Clicking that link in Quicken opens a browser on www.synchrony.com/banking.
  2. The page where I view my Sam's Club Card transactions is at samsclub.syf.com.
  3. The username/password that works at samsclub.syf.com doesn't work at www.synchrony.com.
  4. When I explored looking up my credit card at the www.synchrony.com site, I found a link to search for credit cards and was able to look up the Sam's Club Card. When I clicked that link, it redirected me to samsclub.syf.com, which is the same site I can already log into. So, the credit cards seem to be in the syf.com domain, separate from synchrony.com. I wonder if that might be why Quicken can't find it. But if that were the case it wouldn't work for anyone else.
  5. As I mentioned, I've had the card for 6 years and didn't mind too much not being able to have Quicken download transactions automatically, since they had a link to download a file that Quicken could understand, but now that I'm having to enter transactions manually it's getting annoying.
