401K account moved to Ascensus - no sync option with Quicken.

Wondering how I update account balance monthly to reflect the current value? I do not need to track individual holdings.

Attempted to create new transaction, but none of the options seem to apply?

    Just enter a new transaction of type "Payment/Deposit" with the category of "Adjustment" (no need to fill in any other fields). You can add an adjustment-per-month to match your statements. Or you can have just a single adjustment that you edit each month, updating the date and amount.

    The Adjustment special category can be used (carefully) anywhere… it lets you adjust any account's balance without there being an actual category that shows up in reports.
