very slow posting transactions to one investment account

I have been long time user but posting transactions that take several minutes each has reached my patience. Not sure why it takes several minutes to post a transaction. Just did file repair and as slow as ever.

    IF it is only slow in one investment account that has a lot of transactions: I would suggest you try the archive command on that account: See an older post below.

    I would say first step is to use is Archive Transactions from the gear icon top right of the active investment account register.

    This is designed specifically for overactive Investment accounts to speed up Quicken.

    It creates an Archive Account with old CLOSED positions and the Real account with only Open Positions.

    This works for reporting by simply including the new archive account in reporting so you do NOT lose any history
