Vanguard Capital Gains are misclassified as Dividends

Is this a Quicken or a Vanguard problem?

Instead of a Long Term Gain transaction type, it comes from Vanguard via download as a Dividend.

This is longstanding issue that only Vanguard can fix. See this discussion

It is a Vanguard issue they don't appear to be addressing.

You need to manually change the downloaded transaction

Given the size of Vanguard, you would expect Quicken to advocate for their user community. A few months ago, the CEO of Quicken worked directly with executive contacts at Fidelity to address Fidelity problems. This issue is not that severe, but you get nothing out of Quicken.

I did call Vanguard and have an IT ticket opened. We will see what happens.
