Quicken automatically changes some Cover Short transactions into Bought transactions.

    Have this problem currently. Turns out that I have both long and short trades made in the subject securities and during import from the brokerage, Quicken automatically changes some Cover Short transactions into Bought transactions. When I tried to correct the original Bought transaction to a CvrShrt, it said, "There is no open Short position. Changing to a Bought transaction."

    Pretty sure this is an ordering problem, caused by the orders not being delivered in chronological order from the Brokerage company. To fix this problem, I copied the erroneous Bought transaction, deleted it, then pasted it into a new transaction with Type = Cover Short.
