Can Quicken use local currency regional settings?

Hi,

Quicken doesn't seem to use Windows' local regional settings for currency representation. I cannot find a preferences settings to change this either.

For most of the world, currency is represented with a "comma" as a decimal separator. Our keyboards have a "comma" on the numerical keyboard side. It would make life much easier for us to use it instead of a "period".

I posted this question in the forum a couple of years ago and someone told me that the option to change the decimal separator existed in the settings file but was not available in the Preferences screen. I made the change and it works for registering transactions but not for other things. For instance, I cannot update currency exchange rates or create reminders with decimal values. So, it seems this is an incomplete feature, and not all functions check this setting.

Am I missing something or does this feature still doesn't exist? Do I need to post it as a new idea?

If you want this feature you should post it as a new idea.

Just keep in mind that Quicken Classic is a USA and Canada product so the features designed into it are designed to support these countries, not other countries. But English speaking Canada areas use the decimal point for the separator while some/all of French speaking Canada areas use the comma for the separato. So maybe this Preference option already exists in the Quicken Classic Canada product but I do not know that for sure. Maybe someone who uses Quicken Classic Canada will join this conversation and educate us on this. If it does, then maybe it could be added as a global Preference feature to Quicken Classic USA fairly easily.
