How to I update Quicken if I don't use electronic banking downloading?

Quicken Windows Subscription Member

How does Quicken install new program updates if I am not using any of the electronic banking features like downloading transactions? Do I still use the Update button on the top menu? I don't see a way to specify program updates only.

@thealchemist And in not using transaction download your missing out on one of the most valuable features of Q.

    1. To identify when you've mis-input a transaction amount (because download didn't match with pre-input)
    2. To identify when there's been a forgotten (or, even fraudulent) transaction on your account(s)
    3. To make reconciling a breeze, because all of the transactions included as-of the statement date are already marked as "Cleared", so that all you have to do is to confirm the net $0 and click OK.

My last five years at my former bank employer, I was the Manager of (euphemistically) Audit Research & Development. A better description would be "Computer Fraud Investigations". And I've NEVER seen a situation where a Q download resulted in a financial loss to the Q user.

Q user since February, 1990. DOS Version 4
Now running Quicken Windows Subscription, Business & Personal
