Truist connect issues since the new year

I'm seeing lots of other Truist reports all of a sudden with the new year, but I'm doing a separate post since my details may might be just slightly different.

I came from the BB&T side of the merger that created truist, and Looking at my Conn and OFX logs, I can see im still connecting to a bbt url based server . Connections attempts get hung up at "updating financial institution information" and according to Conn and ofx logs, quicken is not finding it.

Now a quick dumb url check of https://eftx.bbt.com/ does in fact resolve in a browser…. but can someone at Quicken side confirm whether the bbt.com access connection has been cut off on your side (or truists) with the new year? I'm not seeing it in fidir.txt so maybe they just cut it off.

I can try to disconnect online services and try to re-add with truist based servers… but sometimes thats a rabbithole of its own.

Yes, that was the issue (bbt connection) must have been turned off for new year. In case anyone else still has/had a bbt based fidir connection (even though quicken gui showed the provider for these accounts as as 'Truist Online Banking'). I disabled online access for all the truist accounts, and re-added. After a second auth check, the accounts added fine and I was able to download transactions.

Well, looks like I spoke too soon; found transaction download was non-responsive on the next day. And I've got to disable online access and re-enable online access each time I connect. I get one good download/upload after I complete the process, and the next day its back to the same problem, timeout/no response. Its still reaching out to bbt based server and times out.

Disabling/re-enabling online sendss me thru a Truist reauthorization 2fa with a ping to my email. So I wonder if that's part of the issue now and the 2fa only holds for a short period of time. 24 hrs or one connection maybe.
