Constant Balance Adjustments

How do I avoid the constant balance adjustments that show up? It is skewing my income numbers, I know I'm doing something wrong, I just don't know what. Thank you

This might be related but inter-account transfers are showing up as transactions, maybe I have those categorized incorrectly causing the Balance Adjustments???

Hello @DominicV,
To help resolve this issue, please provide more information about what you're experiencing. Is this happening in accounts that you update manually, do you download a file from the financial institution to upload into Quicken, or are these accounts set up to download from the financial institution automatically when you run One Step Update? Which financial institution are these accounts with? Are the balance adjustments happening after you reconcile the accounts? If they are, then are you running into discrepancies when you reconcile?
I look forward to your reply!

My accounts are connected and update via One Step, they are with TD.
I always get a message when reconciling that the balances don’t match, but I don’t understand why.0 -
Thank you for your reply,
It is possible that the transfers are the cause, if they are not reflecting in your Quicken as transfers. Typically, a transfer will show in the category column as the account name the transfer is going to/from in brackets (see screenshot below).
Other possible causes would be missing or duplicate transactions or if the online balance in Quicken is incorrect.
A less likely (since it would normally be a one-time issue, rather than recurring) possible cause is if the beginning balance for the problem account(s) changed. For more information on that possible cause, please review this article:
I hope this helps!

So right now, it is showing the bank account it is coming from instead of the credit card account (also updated by One Step) it is going to. Would that be the problem? In other words, should the Category show the 'from' (current) account or the 'to' account (TD AEROPLAN VISA XXXXX)?

Thank you for your reply,
To clarify, is it displaying like a transfer back into the same account, instead of a transfer to the credit card account? Is there any transaction in the credit card account to reflect that payment/transfer?
Thank you!
