EverBank requiring MFA when downloading

Windows 10, Quicken Premier R60.15. Yesterday EverBank started to require MFA on every update. Is anyone else having this problem and does anyone know if I can fix this?

Hello All,
Typically, when you receive MFA (multi-factor authentication) prompts during each online update, it is a requirement set by the financial institution. Unfortunately, this is not something Quicken can bypass.
I recommend reaching out to your financial institution directly to confirm this requirement.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause! Thank you.

Everbank says its Quicken; they have been requiring two factor authentication fo their website since August with no work-around or way to opt out. However, this has only been happening in Quicken downloads for the past week or so something has changed.

I got the same response from Everbank as BSwearingen. This appears to be one of those situations where a change was made at either Everbank or Quicken. There is no way that we can fix this as customers. We need Quicken's technical team to work with Everbank's technical team to see what changed to cause this issue. I recognize that there doesn't appear to be too many customer's affected, but the problem is consistent.

@BSwearingen & @Jnic Thank you for following up!
First, please make sure you are on the latest version release of R60.20. If you are not, then please navigate to Help > Check for updates to install the latest release.
I will go ahead and forward this issue to the proper channels to have this further investigated. However, we request that you please navigate to Help > Report a problem within your Quicken program and submit a problem report with log files and screenshots attached in order to contribute to the investigation.
It would also aid the investigation to include a sanitized file when submitting the problem report. A sanitized file is a data file that removes personally identifiable information so you can comfortably share this file with the Quicken team.
While you will not receive a response through this submission, these reports will help our teams in further investigating the issue. The more problem reports we receive, the better.
We apologize for any inconvenience in the meantime! Thank you.

Thank you. I really appreciate your help. It's not a show stopper, just a real pain. I'll follow up and use the "Report a Problem" capability. Hopefully that will help.

@Jnic You're welcome, and thank you for submitting the problem report with the requested files attached! They have been added to the ticket.
Thanks again!

I am encountering an endless loop of Quicken prompting for EverBank MFA #, code being sent to my phone, entering code, then Quicken prompting again, code entered again, etc. without moving past that and getting downloads.

Hello @Paulio,
Thanks for chiming in to bring this to our attention!
To have your issue escalated as well, please submit your log file via a problem report so we can get your logs added to the ticket. You can refer to my earlier response in this thread for instructions on how to do so.
Thank you!

As of today, Everbank connection is working correctly.

@Paulio Thanks for the update! Glad to hear that it is working for you now. 🙂
Can others in the thread also please confirm whether or not this has been resolved for you, or if it is still ongoing?
Thank you!

Hi Anja,
I updated to latest version of Quicken Premier R60.20 and tried again. Sadly still having to go through MFA phone verification on every update. I reported once again with files. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I am still waiting for EverBank IT staff to call me as was promised by their customer service last week. Everbank would not be the first financial institution that I've abandoned because they didn't find the technical resources to fix things related to Quicken. My updates work but require manual intervention that have time out limits. There is no starting an update and going for coffee. For now I'm going to disable the auto updates so that EverBank doesn't hold me hostage every time I start Quicken.

Thank you all for confirming the issue is still ongoing.
Since one user reported it was resolved, I just wanted to make sure that the ticket didn't need to be closed out if it was resolved for everyone else too. However, since you each confirmed it is still occurring, the ticket will remain open.
Thanks again!

Hi Charles B McDermott. Did you get any help from Everbank? They basically told me it wasn't their problem.
Quicken Anja. Thanks for keeping this open.

Quicken Anja,
I never got any help from EverBank. I take it that they don't care.
I think that there are a number of us still experiencing the problem. I don't know how or what the one user did to bypass the MFA?
If EverBank does not work towards resolution my recourse will be to move my money to an institution that supports a relationship with Quicken. I've done it before.
Thank you,

@Charles B McDermott I appreciate you following up and understand how frustrating this situation must be.
While I can't speak for EverBank, I assure you that our team is actively investigating the issue, and the ticket remains open. Unfortunately, we don’t have an ETA at this time, but we will share updates as soon as there are any developments.
Thank you!

Well, don't know what's related or not today, but yesterday all was well and now Everbank spins with just an updating message. Also, Blue Federal Credit Union (BFCU) spins with 'looking for your accounts after it sends me a 2FA text. But never gives me the window to enter the code.

Here's my latest OSU result. All non EWC+ accounts downloaded properly. OSU hung up for a couple of minutes then completed with all EWC+ accounts downloaded but Everbank. It had a CC501 error. Problem with Quicken Server connecting.
So, it's better than going through MFA every time… just takes a little longer and saved me the trouble of removing it from OSU. I reported the problem as Quicken Anja recommended. So, it seems like something is happening between Everbank and Quicken servers. Maybe Everbank is trying to fix the problem they said they didn't have?

Everbank is connecting again. Sadly it still requires MFA. Will try reaching out to Everbank again as Quicken Anja and we have alerted Quicken and they are working it. Hopefully we can get Everbank and Quicken teams talking to each other.

I saw in the related community alert that Ticket #11551004 has been resolved. This morning both Everbank and Blue Federal Credit Union connections are working. Re: Jnic MFA comment above, both Blue and Everbank have required me to send the MFA text and enter code, but it is all working fine. I think for security, they will always require that, but it is working FWIW.

Unfortunately, this is not resolved. Everbank is still requiring a MFA every time I update accounts with Quicken Deluxe for Mac.

Today I find that, while I'm not being asked for MFA when running an update, nor is anything getting downloaded, although I see cleared transactions for recent days when I look at my Everbank accounts. I downloaded QFX files from Everbank in an attempt at a workaround, but when I import one I get this pop-up message:
0 -
Please open the Everbank downloaded QFX file with Notepad or Wordpad and look at the first few records. You should find the following records in it:
<FI>
<ORG>B1
<FID>?????
</FI>
<INTU.BID>?????What does your QFX file look like? What numbers are there in place of the "?????"
The number must be listed in the financial institution directory file, FIDIR.TXT. If not, you get the above error message.
If it turns out that the number is indeed incorrect, only Everbank can fix it, because they create the QFX file.
