SUBSCRIPTION wonky on manual reconciliation

Im new here and to subscription…loved Q2010, 2014 screwed up so went to subscription. Have used old quicken over 15 years with no issues. I manually do everything and manually reconcile to my checking acct 3x a week. If I am a little off(because I purposely am lazy entering some transactions) , it says it will balance adjust -$3, for ex, but then it does -$160…then i have to reconcile again with no clearing anything, to get it to do +$157……and smaller thing I do a work around for…it always has ending statement date of Jan 8th so if i dont change that to a date in the future, I wont see all of my transactions when i reconcile…

What was the timing on your moving from Q2010 to Q2014 to subscription? If you still have your Q2010 files, you might be happier with Q2013. Q2013 is the last version that does not require an Intuit or Quicken ID and is the last version where you can completely turn off syncing to the Quicken cloud. The subscription version is quite insistent on syncing your data to the cloud and that causes many data issues, like the reconciliation issues you are having.

Now that you are on subscription version, are you still manually entering transactions or have you started downloading transactions?

interesting…interesting….see, i made BIG mistake of getting 2014 a month ago, and it was 99% bugs and became 100% unusable crashing very entry and then I couldn't reload my 2010 bc 2014 would not uninstall…..(god that was a looonnngg day) so now my current files are now subscription and it would take me 20 hours to recreate…( I also do some other family checkbooks for their very tiny business)…thank you for confirming i am not an idiot and am not missing anything…I have come up with work arounds so its ok. too bad i didnt ask here what "new" version I should buy before i did the 2014

When Quicken 2014 was installed, a copy of your Q2010 file would be saved to a folder called Q2010Files in your Quicken folder. If you decide you want to give Q2013 a try, you can download it for free from this support article:
