Hello @Randy Wawrzyniak-Fry,
Thank you for letting us know you're encountering this issue. You mentioned you just noticed this issue today. Did this happen with transactions you had just newly added? Are the attachment icons still missing after restarting Quicken? If you haven't restarted your computer recently, sometimes restarting your computer can help also.
I look forward to your reply!

I just noticed it with some newly added transactions. I'm not sure how long this has been going on, but I don't think it's been long. I have attachments I made Feb 4 that are showing correct. I shut everything down, started Quicken and the problem still exists. The only difference is that I just started with Online Backup, in case that helps.

I just tried doing two more attachments. One worked and the other didn't. The one that worked was in a cleared status, The one that didn't work had an unclear status. I went back to the ones that I did this morning and manually put to Cleared. I saved the transaction/ Then I went back in and deleted the attachment, saved the transaction, went back again again and added the attachment. When I saved it, it worked. After that I took one of the transactions that didn't work and just deleted the attachment and reattached and it worked. So now I'm confused. I can't see a clear pattern of when it works and when it fails. Anything else that might help track this down?

Thank you for your reply,
The attachment icon vanishing seems to be an intermittent issue. I see people post about it on the Community, the issue gets reported, marked resolved, then it comes back again later. It's very difficult to track down due to being unable to reproduce the issue on demand.
What file types are you attaching? Is there any relation between the file type and whether or not the icon displays?
Could you please detail the process you are going though when adding attachments? Are you making any edits to the affected transactions? If so, are these edits being done before the attachment is added, after it's added, or at the same time it's added?
Is there any specific transaction type or account type that is more likely to be affected by this?
There is currently an open ticket for this issue. To contribute to the investigation, please navigate to Help>Report a Problem and send a problem report with log files attached, and if you're willing, a sanitized copy of your data file.
Thank you!

I had 20 years in I.T., so I am well familiar with the "intermittent issue", and this fits the label.
My normal process is to enter a transaction, save it, and then add the attachment later, but normal does not mean always. 99.9% of the time I am attaching PDFs either that I downloaded from a website when making the transaction, or scanning a receipt and attaching it. I do not scan straight to attachment. I scan and download to disk, then attach that file. My process is to click the paperclip icon, then click add, then add file, find the file, click Open, then click done once the file loads.
I just did a test. I went into a transaction and added an attachment. It worked. The I went in and changed the amount and without saving added an attachment and got the problem. This is just a one sample test, but maybe it's something for your programing group to take a look at.
Hope that's helpful. I'm interested in what you find out,
Randy
