Set up now... (on an existing account not linked yet) jumps to Add Account screen
I have been using quicken for years with many accounts linked for online update. Online Services Set up now... (on an existing account not linked yet) jumps to Add Account screen after momentarily flashing setup screen. Quicken will not set up online services for this investment account. Please help.

For an account that has never been setup for downloading transactions, going to the Add Account dialog is the correct thing for it to do when you select to setup it up. You are "adding a link to an online account" and optionally adding a Quicken account. That dialog will ask what financial institution to connect to and go through that process. After you have connected to the financial institution there will be a dialog that allows you to link the online account to the one in Quicken.

Quicken is not “adding a link to an online account”. When I follow through on Setup online services a new account in quicken is added without setting up a connection. It is just adding another account separate from the account with my self entered transactions. Online setup is not working.
