Schedule Weekday Only (Daily) Bill Reminders (Q Mac)

Question

I don't see an option for scheduling a daily bill/income reminder, for just weekdays only. Where do I find it?

I used to have this on the Windows version, but don't see it anywhere on Mac. Google search returned nothing. Also, having it skip banking holidays would be great too.

just need US federal reserve banking holidays as a start. It’s technically banking software, so don’t think that’s too big of a stretch to ask for.

and selected days of the week is what I’m looking for. will just have to use RickO’s suggestion as a workaround. Another use case is dollar-cost averaging for investments.

I'm curious: can people give me an example of transactions which recur every weekday? I'm just trying to understand the use case for a daily weekday recurring transaction.

Selected days of the week only, where one can pick from a list of selected days,

e.g., M_W_F_ _, Monday, Wednesday and Friday only.

That should take care of those

- daily trips to the coffee shop

- the toll fees for bridge, HOV lane or toll road usage

- the twice weekly trip to the fitness center

- Tips income received at a restaurant job working part of the week only

- etc.

If there's a good need for it, perhaps the easier place to add this functionality would be when specifying a recurring daily transaction…

…and adding an option next to "Every [x] Day" to toggle between Day and Weekday.

And I agree that filtering out bank holidays would be problematic because some are federal, some are state, and Canada is of course different than US. Even then figuring out when banks are closed can by tricky; here's an example: in New Jersey, the state celebrates and closes offices for Juneteenth on the third Friday of June, a date which was set before the federal government created a holiday on June 19 (or the Friday before if June 19 falls on a Saturday or the Monday following is June 19 falls on a Sunday).
