I have a Mac version of Quicken on my iPhone, and Safari on my Mac

I have a working file of Quicken on my iPhone and I can open it on my Safari on my Mac. I'm trying to install the App version of the Quicken on my Mac. I'm having trouble with that. I have saved a copy of QXF on my Mac, but when I double click, it wants to convert the file to a Windows file version. I had a PC version back before 2018, and everything has been a Mac version since 2018. Can you give me some advice on what I should do now?

QXF is a file format used to transfer Quicken data between different versions of Quicken, so Quicken Mac is going to assume the data is coming from Quicken Windows. If you want to import that data into Quicken Mac then you should create a new Quicken Mac file & import the QXF into that. Go to the File menu & select New, select "Start from a Quicken for Windows file" from the Let's Get Started screen, and drag your QXF file onto the Convert your Quicken Windows file screen.

I don't know if you'll be able to set this up so that it syncs to the current data you have in Quicken Mobile, you might wind up having to change your Quicken Mobile & Quicken Web setup to look at this new data; I don't use those so can't offer any advice there.

I am a bit confused on why you're having to do this, though. You say you've been using Quicken Mac since 2018 - what happened to your Quicken Mac file that's causing you to have to import from a QXF? Do you not have any backups of your Quicken Mac file?
