Download Date Range?

Last year Quicken had problems downloading Schwab data from July thru November. I have 4 accounts that did not get updated during this period and would now like to download data from this period into my accounts. Is theree any way to set a date range so I can fill this hole in my Quicken data?

Looking into the FIDIR.TXT file, which hold the Q info about downloads, it's not apparent the Schwab supports "Web Connect", where you'd initiate the download manually from their website. Many times, the Fis allow you to customize the dates using this method.

In the absence of Web Connect, it's not possible to customize the download dates.

What you might try, however, is creating a new, temporary Q data file containing only Schwab and see what downloads into that (and how far back, last July MIGHT be too far back). Then subtracting from that downloaded data to get just the dates that you want and then trying to import them into your production data file. Search this forum for info on how to merge 2 data files, but be aware that it's not a simple process and a LOT of things can go wrong … so if you try this, take LOTS of backups.

I just saw a reply, in a different thread that gave me another idea, but it depends upon Schwab allowing downloads in non-Q formats, such as CSV (but not PDF). If you can research and tell us the various formats that Schwab supports, we might have another solution. And, you'd also need to determine if Schwabs allows date selection for such other methods.

I just went to my schwab account and downloaded the transactions for all 4 accounts from 7/1/24 — 12/31/24 in CSV format. I could have gotten them in XML format too.

    Will this work for you?
