What does "Item changed" notice mean?

Through Quicken desktop, I ordered a payment sent to a payee from my bank (not Quicken billpay). Today, when I did an one-step update I received a notice that the item was changed with no further explanation. My best guess is that the phone number or address of the payee was altered. If so, how do I find out what was wrong with my original payment order?

    I have had this happen before and the change that was made was to the check number.
