WIFI Connection and 2FA Needed to Run Classic aboard Cruise Ships

I use Quicken Classic and don't understand why when I try to use it on cruise ships it won't run unless connected to WIFI. If I try to start it, if freezes the PC. Also, don't understand why I'm required to do a 2-factor login in this situation. Neither of these occur when I'm at home. I can run it without WIFI and I am never asked for a 2FA.
Thanks!

Hello @Don42@,
Thanks for reaching out with this issue!
When you’re on the cruise ship, are you trying to access Quicken in offline mode, or does it automatically attempt to connect online? Does the freeze happen before you reach the sign-in screen, or after entering your credentials?
For the 2FA requirement, have you recently made any changes to your Quicken settings, such as enabling cloud sync or updating your password? Are you able to access Quicken without issue once you reconnect to WiFi, or does it continue to freeze?
Also, when you're at home, do you typically use Quicken without an internet connection for long periods, or is this the first time you've tried using it offline for an extended time?
Let us know, and we’ll do our best to help!

AFAIK, if WiFi is enabled but not connected, Quicken will attempt to "call home" to verify who you are with the Quicken server.
You want to
- either totally disable WiFi or switch into "Airplane mode" or
- connect to the onboard WiFi and, if available from your Antivirus or other security software, activate an encrypted VPN connection.
Many banks will detect that you are not "calling from your home router" and therefore request a 2FA verification.
When using VPN select a US network address as your location, not some international network address as that may be rejected by the banks for security reasons.0
