Payee names all the same

I'm running Quicken Classic with the latest update on Windows 11. When I do a One Step Update all the payee names are the same for all the newest transactions. I've tried reverting to the latest backup and retry but does it does the same. Any help would be appreciated.

    What are the payees being renamed to?
    Does this apply to only one bank or all of them?

    I suspect that a Renaming Rule was created which now incorrectly applies to all newly downloaded transactions.
    Locate this Renaming Rule and delete it.

    Yes there was a renaming rule. Deleting the rule fixed the problem. How it got there I have no idea.

    That depends on the settings in Edit / Preferences / Downloaded transactions.

    Quicken may create Renaming Rules on the fly. If the third of the highlighted rules is enabled, you will be prompted every time a new rule is about to be created … which should prevent bad rules from sneaking in.
    IMHO, all three rules should be enabled.
