Could Event Contracts be supported?

It should be a separate asset class of its own with IRS Sec 1256 tax consequences. Kalshi is the famous exchange that won a federal lawsuit. Many thanks.

    What sort of support would you hope to see? And, why couldn't such contracts be recorded as is they were Single Premium Deferred Annuities, where you pay up front and, maybe, receive a later payout?
