Quicken Cloud Reset Destroyed my File

Not even sure how to explain what happened here. I had a couple of IRA accounts this morning that were wiped out due to an error at their site. So in an effort to fix I restored from yesterday's backup so I could disconnect those accounts while this issue was resolved. And that was the start of my troubles.

In that restore I was asked question that I have never seen before in a restore. Something about resetting Quicken Cloud in order to use the restored file. I should note I had not shared my data to Quicken Cloud so I thought it would be fine. NOPE. Once I did that none of the 60+ accounts in my file can update. To make matters even worse when I tried to disconnect/start reconnecting one at a time it is saying they are new accounts, allows me to link though but I cannot select Direct Connect which I had previously.

Exactly what damage is done losing that Quicken Cloud data? Why are we getting the reset question all of a sudden on a restore?

Please advise & thank you

It appears this Quicken Cloud reset forced me to disconnect & reconnect every account. Some accounts that were Direct Connect before can no longer be DC.

It's surprises like these that make me crazy with Quicken. Longtime user (1995)
