Quicken Classic question

I have "shadow accounts" in Quicken which yield inaccurate reports. I would like to uninstall Quicken Deluxe and then reinstall WITHOUT Quicken Cloud. I would like to restore the accounts from a USB backup. I have tried this but the Quicken Cloud always restores from its files and will not let me restore solely from the USB.

Thoughts?

    After completing your backup, go into Settings and turn off Mobile Sync, then create a new file & restore from backup. Or better yet, turn off Mobile Sync before doing your backup. You shouldn’t need to reinstall the app.
