I am unable to connect 3 out of 4 accounts with PNC Direct, even though I have the pin sent to me from PNC. The accounts show up in Quicken account list as " not available " in the transaction download column. Yet I was able to connect one checking account successfully.

Appreciate any and all advice. The time and effort required to accomplish what appears to be a simple task in exhausting

"Not available" in the Last Download column of the Account List simply means they are not set up for downloading so downloaded data is not available. It does not mean that the accounts are not available. Once a download connection is established for them, what will be shown there is the date and time of the last download.

What kind of accounts are the 3 that you cannot get connected?

If they are credit cards they cannot be connected with Direct Connect (DC). Instead they need to be set up using PNC Card Services Online which will push you to the PNC website where you will need to log in and authorize PNC to download your financials to Quicken (or Intuit who is Quicken's aggregation provider). They will be set up for downloading with the Express Web Connect+ (EWC+) connection method, not with the DC connection method. If you try using this Add Account connection setup, PNC will let you know which accounts are available for downloading with this method and you need to select each account that you want PNC to download with it. If you see your checking account listed there, do not check the box for that since you already have that set up for DC.

There are other PNC Bank download connection setup options in Add Account that are specific for certain types of accounts. Selecting the correct Add Account option is often critical to getting a download connection established. If you answer my question above, I can perhaps help you to identify which download connection setup option is needed for each account.

Hello and thank you for your insight. There are two checking and one savings account. I had contacted PNC a few weeks ago for the same issue and they notified me I was set up for DC connection but my pin was expired. They sent me a new one which I was attempting to use yesterday. Able to connect one checking account but not the others, system refusing to connect or link with already existing accounts in Quicken.

Go to the Online Services tab of Account Details for the 2 accounts you cannot set up with DC. If the Deactivate button is shown there, click on that. When both have been deactivated, try setting them up, again, using the PNC Bank - Direct Connect setup link in Add Account.

If they are already deactivated then I am a bit stumped because they should be setting up with DC assuming you are trying to set the up via PNC Bank - Direct Connect.

Regretfully, I have already done that and both the checking and the savings accounts are deactivated. Upon trying to set them up again, have attempted connecting through PNC Direct and even though all the accounts show up, no option to connect or link them.

Thank you for your guidance. Will keep trying to find a solution. May be call PNC again tomorrow.

Yes, you probably should call PNC, again, and talk with someone in their Tier 2 or Tier 3 tech support who has knowledge about Quicken.

Sorry that I could not be of more assistance. If I think of anything else, I'll be sure to post it here.
