Copy and paste transaction

In Quickbooks, you can copy and paste a full registry transaction entry, and paste it into a new entry. This would be very very helpful to have! Thank you for your consideration!

This function already exists. Locate the desired existing transaction in the register and right-click on it. Select "Copy Transaction" from the popup menu.
Next, go to the new transaction line and right-click on it. Select "Paste Transactions" from the popup menu.

However, the fastest way that I know of to create a copy of an existing, memorized transaction is to simply go to the New Transaction line and start entering a new transaction. When you tab into the Payee Name field, begin typing the Payee Name and select the transaction you want from the popup selection list. Here's an example:

For recurring transactions like your monthly telephone bill use Scheduled Reminders. They are always correctly filled in (Memo, Category), except for variable amounts.
