Printing checks via quicken classic deluxe for Mac

I'm thinking of printing checks via QMac and need help getting started. First of all, I have a color laser printer and an inkjet printer, obviously both sheet fed.
General:
- Is the suggestion made on this forum about using voucher checks still hold true with the latest Mac version?
- Does Quicken still sell checks?
Specific :
3. How does one configure Quicken to use the checks? I've looked and find no info on this.
4. If quicken no long sells checks, what should I look for when researching companies?
Thanks.

Quicken does not sell checks directly anymore (assuming they ever did), you have to get them from a third party. There's an Order Supplies button on the Print Checks dialog (which comes up when you select "Print Checks" from the File menu) that will take you to a vendor; I have no idea how good they are compared to other vendors but they certainly are a lot more expensive than others I've looked at.
I asked about check printing recently in this thread & got a couple responses. Both replies recommended voucher checks.
As for configuration, after you confirm which checks you want to print & get to the actual Print window there's an option for Adjust Alignment; it appears you can't move the individual lines or fields, you can only move all the text on the page as a single block. I imagine this is one reason voucher checks are recommended - if you can't adjust the spacing between the checks then the odds of everything lining up all the way down to the bottom of the page is not great. When I buy checks I will probably get checks without lines to reduce any alignment issues - I still have a box of checks I can use for manually written checks when printing simply isn't an option (while traveling, for example).
