Resolved 3/31/25: Issues updating Vanguard accounts

Some Vanguard customers are reporting error messages when attempting to connect to their accounts in Quicken, due to an issue with Vanguard. You may see an error OL-295 or OL-301 in Quicken for Windows, or errors 15500 or 2003 in Quicken for Mac.
We are investigating the issue with Vanguard, however, they have not yet provided an ETA for fixing this issue. We recommend that you contact Vanguard for assistance or more information on this issue.
In the meantime, Vanguard customers can download transactions directly from Vanguard to import into Quicken:
to your Vanguard account on the Vanguard website.- Go to the
Activity
tab - Click the
Download Center
link - Find the
Quicken
data download option Select the date range
for downloading transactions; we recommend “Custom” and setting the date range to 7 days prior to your last successful transaction download. Download the file.In Quicken, import the file
:- Quicken for Windows: Go to File > File Import > Web Connect (.QFX File) and select the file you downloaded from Vanguard.
- Quicken for Mac: Go to File > Import > Bank or Brokerage File (OFX, QFX) and select the file you downloaded from Vanguard.
You will then be able to open the file you downloaded (a .QFX file) and Quicken will add these transactions to your Vanguard account. Please be sure to review your transactions in Quicken to make sure there are no duplicates.

This issue with Vanguard is now resolved; you should be able to update accounts as expected.
Some Quicken for Mac users are reporting an error 16503 when updating Vanguard accounts, but this appears to be a separate issue, which we are investigating. We will post more details about this issue as soon as they are available.
Thanks—
