How to print a list of Payee addresses in Quicken Classic for Mac

Quicken Mac Subscription Member

Hi,

I'm using Quicken Classic for Mac (Business and Personal - v 8.1.1) on an M1 Mac Mini running OS 15.3.2.

Does anyone know how to print a list of tagged (1099)Payees that would include their address and other information I'd input. I know I can add information like that to the Bill Pay window. The reason for my question is that I'd like to be able to send my accountant a list of the Payees that will need a 1099-NEC. That report ideally would contain their transactions for the last calendar year and address/social security information.

Thanks, Mark

Would be a nice future feature (one that QuickBooks for example does easily)…. but in asking your question, you must realize that there is no place to enter the SSN or EIN, or to take payees (as 1099 or otherwise)… or to pull transactions in way to know if the 1099 should be a 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC or other.

Further, unlike QuickBooks which has reports for lists - such as Employees, 1099 recipients, service items, etc - QMac only has reports based on transactions. We cannot generate a report listing Payees, Securities (list only), Products and Services, etc etc. We can, though, export Clients to a CSV file and generate a report from there after editing the data - the rare example of list data that can be exported directly.

While you can certainly generate a transaction report filtered by the Payee… having the report also print their address and other info on the same report as transactions isn't remotely possible.

So, as far as I can tell, this isn't a question? But a collection of wish/feature requests that belong (post per idea) in the Ideas area of the Community?

Well, it was a question: is there a way to…

And the answer to the question is: no it can't currently be done.

Next step: create an Idea post requesting this functionality!
