Brokerage account cash disparity

I have a significant disparity between the cash shown in the account holdings and the online cash downloaded from Fidelity. This leads to a significant out of balance for the entire account. Not sure where or when the disparity arose. Any suggestions or thoughts greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Does Quicken show that you have holdings of the Money Market Fund (MMF) that is your Core Account? If so, that is likely the cause of the issue. Fidelity downloads the dollar value of the Core Account as Cash. If you have also been getting shares of the MMF downloaded into Quicken, that causes a duplication.

Here is a thread from a few years ago that talks about this issue and what can be done to resolve it: Downloads from Fidelity do not included activity into the settlement fund . Hopefully you find this to be helpful. Let know know if you have any questions about it.

Thank you for your suggestion. No, there is no MMF core account holding. All was good until just a couple of weeks ago.

Go to Account Register > upper right Gear icon > Reconcile Shares. If the resulting popup shows discrepancies between the holdings in Quicken and the positions downloaded by Fidelity to Quicken, make note of them.

Then click on the blue font Cash Balance below the register on the right. Does it show that the cash in Quicken is equal to or different from the cash balance reported by Fidelity to Quicken? Make note of any difference.

Compare the Reconcile Shares results and the Cash Balance comparison. Doe the Cash Balance difference seem to correlate with the value of any holdings difference?

Reconcile shares ⇒ "Your Quicken account and your brokerage holdings are in agreement."
