Quicken downloading duplicate transactions in Schwab Checking

Member ✭✭✭

I've never seen this - Quicken is downloading duplicate transactions from 3/6/2025 to present. They're all showing up as zero dollar transactions, on the same date and same payees as the actual transaction. So the balance is correct, but I have dozens of zero dollar line items. I deleted all of the zero dollar transactions, restarted and updated again, and they all came back.

Any suggestions?

    Hello @bethwr,

    Thanks for reaching out!

We do have a new active alert regarding transactions downloaded from Charles Schwab, which are showing $0 amounts and causing duplicate transactions. You can follow this link to access that alert, which I suggest bookmarking for any new information or updates.

We appreciate your patience and support as we work to resolve this issue!

Thanks, @Quicken Jasmine Same behavior for me today… fortunately only a few zero amount transactions. Something else weird about at least one of them is the payee got renamed to T-Mobile and yet I have no renaming rules that include T-Mobile. Will see what happens tomorrow :-)

Same here and in addition, it said I have a new account at Schwab and I re-linked it and it still uses the same account in Quicken but with $0 transactions added. Luckily, there weren't too many and it was easy to identify and delete them but I hope this doesn't happen on the daily.

Plot thickens for me today. Schwab Bank downloaded a credit card payment…which would be correct…except that it shows a zero amount instead of the actual and the Payee was not renamed as usual. So, it of course did not match the existing payment transaction.

Same thing is happening for me. Very similar issues to all reported already… first occurred yesterday after I was notified by the app to relink my Schwab checking account. After that, zero amount ($0) duplicates showed up which I had to handle manually. Today, a zero amount credit card payment was downloaded.

This situation is only going to get more complicated as this issue persists without an ETA for resolution. Given that my subscription is up for renewal towards the end of this month, I will be VERY interested to see how Quicken technical and support staff address this issue.

BTW, even though my previous post says I am a Quicken Windows subscription member, I am actually on a Quicken Mac subscription currently.

These errors are occurring in Quicken Classic Deluxe for Mac, version 8.1.1.

Its not only duplicate transactions that are $0, even new transactions that are being downloaded are $0

Yes, confirm what @nothingclever is seeing. Today, Schwab Bank transactions downloaded with the correct payee/type… withdrawal and funds transfer… but all other fields including amount blank. Not duplicates… just the correct ones but blank. In another Schwab Bank account, blank duplicates were downloaded. My brokerage account, however, did download with the amount as expected. Just for data points for finding the glitch.

Quicken Mac user. Experiencing the Schwab Bank $0 amount for new (and some duplicate and previous) transaction downloads.

Schwab brokerage and credit card accounts normal, so far.

Previous MS Windows Q user and Q ver.1 Mac user from day one. The improvements over the years are amazing. Looking forward to the Q Team getting this worked out.
