Occasional (daily) freezing

I'm currently on Quicken R62.16 (latest update) using a Lenovo Yoga laptop (2024) on Windows 11 (24-H2) (700 GB free space on solid state C:,

What I have been experiencing for about the last month is a total freeze in Quicken when doing random things (such as accepting downloaded transactions from OSU, reviewing the impact on various accounts of potential purchases through the "Tools/Manage Bills & Income Reminders" tool, and other times I can't all remember.

I can close Quicken and restart it without rebooting in which case it continues to function as expected. What I note is that Quicken is consuming about 25% of processor resources when I do this — suggesting it has somehow gone into a "loop".

Since this usually only happens once a day or so, I considered it a nuisance — but it is annoying. Has anyone else been experiencing this problem and if so found a workaround?

    Hello @Paul Smith2,

Thank you for letting us know you're encountering this issue. To help troubleshoot, please provide more information. You mentioned this has been happening for about a month; did anything else happen around the same time as this issue, such as a computer/program update or unexpected computer/program shutdown?

Typically, issues with the program freezing are caused by program issues or file-specific issues. To start troubleshooting for program issues, please try manually installing the current Quicken update patch. To do that, please use this article for instructions and to download the patch:

Please let me know how it goes!
