Bad data point from vanguard. Is there a way to fix it?

In a download from Vanguard on Friday, Jan 17,2025, the value of one of my ETF's came in about $500K higher than the balance the day before or the Monday after. On the graphs in Quicken, it is a spike which distorts the graph significantly, because for that one weekend it looks like my balance in that account was more than 4 times its normal value. Is there any way I can go through the data and simply overwrite that value with an average of the Thursday before and the Monday after this data point? I would like to basically edit the raw data from this account.

You can likely tie it to the price history data for one or more securities in the account.

From the security list (Ctrl-y), click on the security name.
More. Edit price history.
Review the prices for the dates in question. Delete any bad prices.

Was there a reinvested dividend or another transaction on that date? If so, go to that transaction in the account's transaction List (Register) and make sure the share price is correct.

If there were no transactions, splits, etc, on that date, the discrepancy is probably due to an incorrect share price download. Go to the account where you hold this security and click on Holdings. Click on the security name to open the Security Detail view. Click on More then Edit price history to view the price history. Right click on the incorrect entry and select Edit to make the necessary change.

Yes this can easily be accomplished by editing the offending price for the ETF. Go to Investing>Security list. From the listing, select the ETF you want to correct. Once the Security Detail View pops up, select Edit price history from the "More" icon on the upper right. You can choose to edit or even delete that day's entry.

It's not clear if you are saying there is a wild swing in the performance or an error in the downloaded data. If the entry is correct, then I'm not sure how you beat the market. 🤔

Thanks to all who answered. All responses were helpful and worked. The single data point was (I'm sure) garbled data. There is simply no way that the ETF in question could quadruple in value then return to where it was for simply a 1-day spike without making the news.
