Loosing all Income categories in Q except the hidden ones

Just in the last few days I have lost all my Inome Categories in Quicken Primer on Win 10 except the hidden ones,

I went back an manually entered all of them manually (a pain) and a day later, they were gone again. A bad issue just before finishing taxes.

I do recall having the latest Q update occuring during the previous few days.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Thanks, Paul

@williamspl If you look at, say, your checking or card accounts in Q … do they still have categories shown in the transactions?

If you do TOOLS, Category List, do the categories show there? What if you check "Show Hidden Categories" at the bottom of that dialog?

If the transactions still have categories, then they're still somewhere in your Q data file. In the Cat List, if they don't initially show, but are hidden, then the question become HOW are they getting hidden?

My shot in the dark is that a corrupted Q data file is causing them to get hidden. SO, take a backup (just in case) and then try FILE, Validate and Repair file, make sure the correct file is selected, click "Validate File" and check OK. Did that help (although from your description it might take some time to know).
