Why can't Quicken provide more timely pricing information. Since Quicken had begun using Fidelity, we should be able to do better than 15 minute delays. Please let me know why Quicken has not done this.
Thanks
Was there some change recently involving Fidelity?
In Premier and up there is a "Real time quotes" option that is supposed to reduce the delay. I don't know if anyone has tested this to see what the actual delay is.
With the current volatile markets this might be a good time for a test. You could pick a stock that is moving rapidly, request quotes once per minute for 20 minutes or so, and compare to your broker's data.
Please let us know the results if you try this.
Note however that the Real time quotes option returns results from after hours treading when the markets are closed, which you may not want, and also returns incorrect quotes for securities that have blank ticker symbols if they have Download Quotes enabled..
Thank you
I will try it.
