Can I import specific accounts from Quicken Mac into my Quicken Classic for Windows?

I am switching over to Quicken for Windows, Classic Business and Personal. I simply started anew with the new year as most of the data I was fine not keeping for back data such a trends spending etc. The few things I want I think I will just transfer the individual accounts if this can be done.

How do I just convert selected accounts? I want to convert Mortgage accounts, and Asset accounts for the mortgaged accounts as well as Escrow accounts. These have kept track of some long term changes that will be nice to have when I sell the property.

These accounts are not connected to the mortgage site because I found it easier to set it up as a mortgage and let Quicken do the calculations for the amortization and set up my bill reminder.

I have seen how to transfer and convert entire data files but was curious if I could just export one account individually.

Thank you

    Hello @Lefebvres090428,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. To answer your question, the only export option I see in Quicken for Mac that will export just one account is the CSV option. The other export options don't let you pick just one account.

Unfortunately, the CSV file isn't formatted to effortlessly import into Quicken for Windows. You would need to manually edit the file to match the format specified in this article on importing into Quicken for Windows:

    I hope this helps!

thank you for your efforts! I ended up using a QFX file from Mac and opened that in a new ( for importing purposes only) data file on my windows version. Once I opened the QFX file in that new data file I then created qif files of the specific accounts I wanted and imported those into the accounts in my real data file on windows. It got the job done.
