Duplicate transactions between Checking Acct. and Line of Credit acct.

I have a situation where transactions downloaded to my checking account are being duplicated in a separate checking line of credit account (LOC). The LOC account is like a small loan account to cover overdrafts only. During my recent download in April, transactions in the checking account as far back as 2023 were added into the LOC account but shouldn't have been. I was able to delete all the transactions in the LOC account with no impact to the checking account with the exception of transfers. For these, when I try to delete the duplicated transactions in the LOC account it also deletes the transaction in the regular checking account. Somehow the two accounts seem to have been linked. I would like to delete the LOC account but can't until these remaining transactions are deleted. This issue started within the last month or so. My bank is Navy Federal Credit Union and there was no error message displayed during download. Any suggestions? I am using Quicken Classic vR62.16.

The accounts aren't linked the transfers are. In Quicken when people talk about a transfer they are talking about a "linked transfer". Say I'm in "Checking Account" and I want to make a linked transfer to "Savings Account" I would enter that in the checking account with the category [Savings Account]. That tells Quicken to create a transaction that is linked between the two accounts.

Which means that if you delete the transaction in one account it will be deleted in both.

The way to "delete in only one account" is to change the category from [Other Account Name] syntax to any regular category or even blank. That will make it be deleted in the other account, but retained in the account you made this change in.

As for what caused the original problem, I really can't say why that would have happened other than maybe something the financial institution did.
