Quicken Mac: Can the category summary report show categories with no transctions/values?

I'd like categories to show even if I haven't used them during the report period. Is that possible?

    Hello @Chriscic,

    Thanks for reaching out!

In the current version of Quicken for Mac, the Category Summary report does not show categories with zero transactions or values during the selected period—that's by design. However, many users have requested this functionality. There's a long-standing feature request on the Quicken Community to add the ability to include zero-value categories in reports: Add ability to include $0 (zero) transactions in reports in Quicken for Mac.

If this feature would help your workflow, I’d recommend adding your vote and comment to that thread. The more user support it receives, the more likely it is that the Quicken team will prioritize it in a future update. In the meantime, you might explore using the newer Summary or Transactions by Category reports, which offer improved flexibility, even though they currently share this same limitation.

    I hope this helps!
