How to get back to the Home Page

When I bring up Quicken Classic, I am brought to the Home page which contains my Dashboard. When a to any account then I have no way to back to Home page other than hitting the "Back" button. If I maneuver to multiple accounts and download or update data then I have to keep hitting the "Back" button over and over to finally get to my home page. It seems that a selection Tab needs to be at the top to bring me directly to the home page

Thanks for the info but the key was the selecting the "Show Tabs" and "Show Toolbar" I had everything else correct but those two items. I reset my "View" window to be like yours. Thanks a bunch

    Hello @Phil H.,

    Thanks for reaching out!

The Home button located in the top toolbar, allows you to return directly to your Dashboard, no matter how many accounts you've browsed through or how far you've navigated. It's the quickest way to get back to the Home page, and it avoids the need to hit the "Back" button multiple times.

If you don’t see the Home button in your top toolbar, you can also use the Home tab located in the toolbar to the right of the Add accounts section.

. If that tab is missing:

    1. Go to the View menu.
    2. Select Tabs to Show.
    3. Ensure Home is checked. Screenshot 2025-04-29 at 12.30.15 PM.png

You can also configure Quicken to start on the Home page automatically:

    1. Go to Edit > Preferences.
    2. Click Startup.
    3. Under On Startup Open To, select Home. Screenshot 2025-04-29 at 12.29.49 PM.png

    I hope this helps!

FYI, you don't need to Show Tabs. But you must select Home in Tabs To Show to have Home appear at the top in the main menu even if you don't use tabs (I don't).

Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, as of 2025 using QWin Premier (US) on Win10 Pro & Win11 Pro on 2 PCs.

Tks to all. It works and that's what I wanted, I promise you I did not see the "HOME" tab until I selected "show tabs" but, hey, I might be going blind. But at least I have what I want.
